FAQs

How much does a Medicare advisor charge?

Absolutely nothing! Our services are 100% free to you, always. We are paid through the Insurance Companies themselves, and because we are an independent advisory, we have NO allegiances to any particular company. This is helpful to you, because it ensures we are offering you the very best plans available.

What is a Medicare Advantage Plan?

Also known as Medicare Part C, a Medicare Advantage Plan is in addition to your Part A and Part B plans, known as Original Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans often have a $0 a month premium and include Prescription Drug Coverage, Dental and Vision Coverage, and some over the counter benefits.

When do I need to sign up for Medicare?

You are eligible for Medicare THREE months before your 65th birthday, until THREE months after your 65th birthday. That 7th month period is known as your Initial Enrollment Period. If you are planning to work past the age of 65, please reach out to us and let us help you determine if it would be best for you to stay with your Group Coverage or enroll in Medicare.

What is a Medicare Supplement?

Also known as MediGap Insurance, a Medicare Supplement is in addition to your Part A and Part B plans, known as Original Medicare. A Plan G or a Plan N are among the most popular Supplements, and they pick up the slack that Original Medicare doesn’t cover. Supplements come with a monthly premium, but they offer many benefits that differ from a Medicare Advantage Plan.

How can I change my Medicare plan?

You will receive a letter each year around September known as an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC). This highlights the changes in your current plan for the upcoming year. If you choose to work with us, we will reach out to you each year to ensure you have the coverage you need amidst the upcoming changes. Annual Enrollment is from October 15th through December 7th annually, and if needed we can make changes to your plan during that time.

What is a Hospital Indemnity Plan?

A Hopsital Indemnity Plan (HIP) supplements your Medicare plan by helping you pay for hospital expenses after an extended stay. HIP’s are popular among Medicare Advantage Plan beneficiaries.
